North Carolina: Millie Holloman One-2-One

Matt writes: ”Well you know there was this girl that loves taking pictures! And this girl loves looking at other photography blogs for inspiration………………she soon fell in love with the style of one extraordinary photographers eye! She wanted so badly to have eyes like those to look through her camera lens. She never thought she would get the chance to have eyes like these, until one day she arrived in Wilmington, North Carolina. She knew after months of knowing about a trip that it was going to be great but just how great! She jumped up and down and up and down again once she figured it out! That’s right, she knew right away that she was going to have a One-2-One Session with Ms. Millie Holloman.

On Thursday, September 25th we headed to Millie Holloman Studios in Wilmington, NC to meet Millie and some of her staff. I was so nervous and so excited at the same time. When we arrived and met Millie I realized that we immediately clicked. My husband and I had a blast talking about photography and learning awesome tips about shooting techniques, lighting, photoshop and shooting in RAW! Yes can you believe it, we SHOOT IN RAW format now! It is so great, we will never go back! My husband loves the new editing process Millie helped him adapt. Anyway, after lunch and all the small talk we headed downtown in the middle of a tropical disturbance for a photoshoot to put the knowledge we learned to the test! The results are below. And yes! We got wet from head to toe! And Yes we took these pictures, Matt and I! Hope you enjoy the images. It was a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could not have chose a better person to have a workshop with than Millie! And Brent & Amanda were awesome too, not to mention they were great models and good sports to get drenched just so that we could have awesome shots to show everyone!!!!!!!!!
